How it works for Buyers:
Step 1 – Initial meeting by phone or in person is so important. I ask you to tell me why you are looking at buying property at this time and in this area. My objective is to be the person that helps you reach your goal. At this meeting we establish the “goal”.
Step 2 – The research begins. A lender provides you with your options. I begin to locate the area and homes that meet your wants and needs. A daily review of the market is performed and I communicate my findings. A drive through different areas of choice helps us establish our priorities and I make the match with available homes. Now we go to the homes and start what I call the “plus and minus” game. We are determined to narrow the field to 3 homes.
Step 3 – The home is found! An offer is made. Negotiations on price, contingencies and closing options may occur but we will come to an acceptable contract.
Step 4 – An Attorney is chosen. The lender is notified. We begin to work through the obligations of the contract.
Step 5 – Closing day arrives! We meet at the Attorney’s office or if you cannot attend, arrangements are made to utilize “mail service”. Once all the documents are signed and the required funds exchanged, the Attorney’s representative goes to the County Courthouse, meets the Seller’s representative and they record the Deed. You have reached your goal of home ownership!!!
